Up and Coming

Dear Sisters,

2012 will be FWNL’s 5^th birthday.  I am really excited about this year. The editors have learned a lot through the processes and yet we have a lot to learn. I feel that we earned this marked celebration. To say that FWNL is 5 years old makes me feel as if we have triumphed. I hope that you also share this joy! I am also super excited about what the future holds for FWNL.

We are currently in the process up creating a wonderful website that will host all the previous newsletters and articles. We hope to grow the website also with posts and articles that will not be published in the newsletter.

In this coming year, we also hope to grow the number of printed and mailed newsletters, expanding our reach to sisters in Christ as well as the lost. We also hope to partner with other congregations to fund this ministry.

So as you can see there are many exciting things on the horizon.

But we cannot do it alone!! We have always looked at this newsletter as a shared ministry. We cannot write all the articles. We cannot write all the blog posts. We cannot take all the pictures that are used. There are not enough hours in the day or knowledge in our heads, but together we can. We need your help!!

Below is a detailed list of the upcoming year’s issues. Below that are other ways that you can help. But the most important thing you can do for us is pray. Pray for our growth. Pray that God will use FWNL to His Glory. Pray for those that write articles. Pray for those that put the newsletter together. Pray for those who receive it.

Summer  – “Celebration”

Description: We, as Christians and sisters in Christ, have many things to celebrate.

Final date for submission: May 1st

Fall – “God’s Promises”

Description: The promises God has made to us.

Final date for submission: Aug 1st

Winter 2013 - Love the Lord your God with all your heart with all your soul, with all your mind and with all your strength.

Description: We would like an 4 articles, one each of the four aspects: heart, soul, mind and strength. Other articles pertaining to the theme would also be appreciated.

Spring 2013 – TBA

Description:(We have a special group of women writing for this issue. so at this timewe have all the writers we need for this issue.)

Summer 2013 – TBA

Types of Articles needed/wanted: (All articles should be no longer than 1000 words!)

Woman of the Bible –relating to the theme

Articles in general relating to the theme

Any scriptural article that you wish to write or submit, rather it relates to the theme or not.

Recipes – We are looking for articles that include a recipe. Please submit both the article and the recipe.

Poems

Columnists or Article Series Authors – contact me for more information if you are interested.

Other ways you can help besides writing:

Photography – submit photos that either relate to the theme or to the season, must be your own work.

Artwork – submit artwork that either relate to the theme or to the season, must be your own work.

Mail Room –  Researching and gathering and organizing addresses and information on churches/individuals to contact about

receiving/partnering with FWNL.

Blogging – contact me for more information if you are interested. (This doesn’t necessarily include you writing the post.)

Translators – we are currently looking for ladies who can help us translate FWNL into Spanish. But we are open to discussing translating it into other languages as well.
